In a remote village struggling with drought and deforestation, a young girl, Anika, dreams of a greener future. Every day, on her way to school, she plants trees in barren lands near her home, inspiring her friends and community to join her. Through resilience and determination, Anika transforms her village, proving that even a small act of kindness can create lasting change. But her journey is not easy—she faces opposition, challenges from nature, and struggles to balance her education with her mission. Will her dream of a lush green village come true?

Act 1: Introduction to Anika’s World

- She sees a tree sapling struggling to grow near her home and decides to nurture it.
- Inspired by a school lesson on forests, she starts planting trees with whatever little she has.
Act 2: The Green Revolution Begins
- On her daily walk to school, she plants trees along the dusty roads.
- Her friends join in, making it a movement.
- The villagers initially mock them but soon start noticing the impact.
- Challenges arise—lack of water, opposition from landowners, and natural calamities.

The Forestification team, along with local environmentalists, educators, and schoolchildren, actively participated in the plantation drive. Experts guided the children on the medicinal benefits of various plants, teaching them the significance of traditional herbal remedies and their role in environmental sustainability.

The journey of Forestification began in 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, when we found ourselves reflecting on how we could contribute to the planet from our own homes. This thought led to a powerful decision—to plant trees for the world.
Our first project took root at Ess Muse, my home in Thrissur, Kerala, where we transformed the space by removing the front-side tiles of the villa and creating a Miyawaki forest. This small step became the foundation of a larger vision—to restore and enhance green spaces through community-driven afforestation.
We believe that when we take action for Mother Earth, it should begin with our own land and home. Forestification is not just a project; it’s a movement to inspire people to plant trees and create forests, one space at a time.
